Environmentalist Principal Rupinder Jot Singh said that all the trees planted today are dedicated to the 86th martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh. To make the environment clean and green, various types of trees including Sukhchain, Tahli, Neem, Peepal, Bohar, Harar, Bahera, Teak, Aula, Suhanjana, Tamarind, Mango, Guava etc. were planted.
Triveni saplings were planted in the village crematorium and other heritage, shade and fruit bearing saplings were planted around the playground of Baba Bharthari Nath Stadium in the village. On this occasion, international athletes Jaswant Vicky, Jasvir Singh Seera, Baljit, Rahul, Tota Ram, Deepa, Sunny, Vijay, Jaswant, Sabi, Raja, Bittu, Guljinder etc. were present.
