Garhshankar/Hoshiarpur - Today, the 13th session of Janwadi Istri Sabha concluded here at village Bassi Daulat Khan. Women from 10 villages participated in it. At the beginning of the session, the organization's Tehsil President Surridar Kaur performed the flag ceremony. All the sisters made Surridar Kaur the president to run the proceedings of the session, sister Amandeep Kaur Ajram presented a condolence resolution.
Everyone stood for 2 minutes and offered flowers of respect. Stage Secretary Prem Lata appealed to Neelam Rani Badhoan to inaugurate the event. On this occasion, Neelam Rani said that today we need to strengthen our organization Janwadi Istri Sabha and fight together for the rights of women against oppression. Units should be formed by making women members in the villages.
Sister Prem Lata presented the report of the three years' work. After some suggestions given by the women, the report was passed unanimously. On this occasion, Mahendra Kumar Badhoan, CITU leader, Comrade Gurmesh Singh, Khet Mazdoor leader, Sanjeev Kuman, Sonu, Construction worker leader, Dhanpat Bhatta, Mazdoor leader and Janavadi Istri Sabha Tehsil Hoshiarpur congratulated the successful meeting and assured full support from women's organizations for the construction of Janavadi Istri Sabha.
Neelam Badhoan, District General Secretary of Istri Sabha, presented a panel of 9 members, in which 8 women were selected. The seat was kept vacant. Surinder Kaur was elected as the president, Rajni Devi Dhakowal as the general secretary, Pres Lata and Raj Rani as the vice presidents, and Nirmala Devi as the assistant secretary, Sunita Devi as the assistant secretary, Sarpanch Dhakowal Amandeep Kaur as the Ajram member. Baljit Kaur alias Bholi Bassi- Daulat Khan thanked the ladies who came.
