Nawanshahr- Today was a very busy day at ITI Nawanshahr because on 3rd January, a career guidance seminar was organized in the morning, after that in the Swagat 25 program, a joint program was organized under the patronage of Principal Shri Omkar Singh Shinhmar Mehndipur, dedicated to the Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and under the thinking and spirit of Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh, in which, under the leadership of President Lakhwinder Singh Surapuri, famous singers of the region along with their entire artist music group arrived to bless Principal Sahib and made the event even more special.
The wave of songs became a river and the flood of singers took the form of an ocean. Principal Omkar Singh Shinhmar said that gods had come to the house of ants, but today a flood of gods has come to my ITI temple. Principal welcomed President Lakhwinder Surapuri by putting a garland around his neck and the entire staff welcomed all the respected singers. In the program hall, the students warmly welcomed the artists by putting ribbons and Tilak on them. Then the program started. On this occasion, singers Poonam Bala, Rani Arman, Lakhwinder Lakha, Dilbarjeet Dilbar, Hardev Chahal, Seetal Ram Seetal Baghora, Vasdev Pardesi and Des Raj Bali mesmerized everyone with their talent. It seemed as if gods had descended upon us and were showering flowers filled with music on ITI. The entire staff and students were thrilled. Children of ITI Nawanshahr also presented songs, poems and one child also played tabla and Principal Shri Omkar Singh Shinhamar marked his presence by singing the song 'Dhiyan Jag Diyan Nihaan'. On this occasion, the entire staff of ITI, Mr. Ajay Kumar Training Officer, Surinderjit Singha Training Officer, Rajinder Kumar AJ & Placement Officer, Jatinder Katal Program Officer, Ranjit Verma Assistant Placement Officer, Madam Gurpreet Kaur NSS Incharge Nawanshahr, Urmiljit Kaur Superintendent, Ramesh Kumar Senior Assistant, Harminder Kaur Pharmacist, Parminderjit Motor Mechanic Instructor, Madam Sapna Parihar Lab Assistant Instructor, Happy Manoj Food Production Instructor, Manohar Singh Harbans Singh Store Attendant, Prem Lal Workshop Attendant and all the students were present.
President Lakhwinder Surapuri was felicitated by the staff and Principal Omkar Singh Shinhmar Mehndipur was felicitated by the musical gathering. Students who performed well in various fields were also felicitated. Rajinder Kumar Ji conducted the stage very well. After the program, Guru ka Atoot Langar was served and in the end, Principal ITI Nawanshahr Mr. Omkar Singh Shinhmar Mehndipur thanked the entire musical group, staff and students from the bottom of his heart.
