Patiala, December 26- Manku Agrotech Private Limited Samana MD Sukhwinder Singh Manku has handed over a cheque of Rs 3 lakh 52 thousand from his CSR funds to Indian Red Cross Society Patiala for the 'Vision Care' project to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the District Red Cross Society is running an awareness campaign for eye care in all 16 education blocks of Patiala district through the District Education Society and 88000 students of government schools are to get their eyes checked and required glasses are to be provided to them. He said that this project will be completed in three phases with the support of Jyoti Foundation. The Deputy Commissioner highly appreciated the contribution being made by Sukhwinder Singh Manku for social welfare from the CSR funds of Manku Agrotech Private Limited.
He appealed that other organizations should also come forward to contribute their share for social welfare in the same way. On this occasion, District Industries Center Manager Angad Singh Sohi, CA of Manku Agrotech Rajesh Gupta and Secretary of Red Cross Society Dr. Pritpal Singh Sidhu were also present. On this occasion, Sukhwinder Singh Manku said that Manku Agrotech Samana has contributed to many other social works including giving Rs 20 lakh to the District Administration Patiala during Covid, a cheque of Rs 54 lakh for dialysis unit, generator set and laundry for Civil Hospital Samana, a cheque of Rs 50 lakh for upgradation of medical facilities and purchase of medical equipment to Indian Red Cross Society Patiala.
