World Oral Health Day was celebrated, awareness was raised for oral hygiene

Patiala, March 20 - World Oral Health Day was organized at Mata Kaushalya Hospital under the leadership of MS Dr. Jagpalinder Singh and DDHO Patiala Dr. Sunanda Grover under the theme "A healthy mouth is a healthy body" for oral hygiene and disease prevention awareness done at Dental OPD.

Patiala, March 20 - World Oral Health Day was organized at Mata Kaushalya Hospital under the leadership of MS Dr. Jagpalinder Singh and DDHO Patiala Dr. Sunanda Grover under the theme "A healthy mouth is a healthy body" for oral hygiene and disease prevention awareness done at Dental OPD. The doctors and staff members present with the patients took an oath to keep the mouth clean and healthy. On this occasion, the doctors of the dental department organized an exhibition showing healthy versus unhealthy eating habits for dental health. Brushing techniques were explained to the patients. Dr. Sunanda while addressing said that we should brush our teeth twice a day and before going to bed at night to take care of our teeth. Avoid eating sweets or things that stick to the teeth and if there is food, then brush after eating such things. After every six months, a checkup must be done by a dentist. Dr. Sunanda Grover said that good and healthy teeth are the basis of good health. He informed the people not to use paan, tobacco, jarda etc. and said that consumption of these substances can lead to cancer of the mouth, jaw etc. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Vikas Goyal, Senior Medical Officer Ashrafjit Chahal, Dental Specialist Dr. Nirmal Kaur, Dr. Daminder Singh and Dr. Savita Garg were present on this occasion.
