Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 2, 2025: A special camp was organized by the District Red Cross Society for blood donation, organ donation and first aid training during the horse riding festival organized by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs at The Ranch in Village Karora.
Assistant Commissioner (General) Dr. Ankita Kansal, Honorary Secretary District Red Cross Society said that the objective of this camp is to create awareness among the people about blood donation and organ donation as well as to provide information about first aid.
She said that Vishwas Foundation had a special contribution in the blood donation camp. The team of District Hospital Mohali provided assistance for blood donation and the PGI team for filling the application form for organ donation.
District Red Cross Society Secretary Harbans Singh said that during the camp, 17 units of blood were collected till noon and application forms for organ donation were also filled.
