
Diwali event at Sardar Tara Singh Kahma Red Cross Special School, Nawanshahr
Nawanshahr - A function dedicated to Diwali was organized at the local Sardar Tara Singh Kahma Red Cross Special School. Mr. Rajesh Dhiman Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the event as the chief guest of the event. On this occasion, Hardev Singh Kahma welcomed the chief guest and the guests.

In his address on this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner assured all possible help from the district administration for the special school, he encouraged to create a project to establish a skill development center for the special students. He announced financial support of fifty thousand rupees from Red Cross. He expressed satisfaction at the special education being given to special children in the school since 17 years. The Deputy Commissioner along with Madam Rajkiran Kaur District Social Security Officer sponsored hearing impaired students and mentally assisted special devices from Pasco were presented to the school. The price of which is three lakh sixty thousand rupees and their number is 56.
For the good future of the school, Lalit Mohan Pathak (Ballu) announced a grant of two lakh rupees for the school on behalf of Mr. Malwinder Singh Kang MP. He assured the school of support in every way. On this occasion, a fascinating cultural program was presented by the students. It is noteworthy that the students who are hearing impaired and some mentally retarded kept the audience riveted with the cultural program. Gurinder Singh Toor emphasized the need for a website for the school. Gurcharan Arora announced an aid of Rs. Madam Lakshmi Devi presented the progress report of the school which was appreciated.
Jaspal Singh Gidda thanked the life members who had become members and requested that other gentlemen of the school also take life membership and join the school. On this occasion, seventeen life members were honored and special badges were issued

The chief guest and special guests were honored on this occasion.
