National Lok Adalat at Patiala on December 14, four benches will be constituted

Patiala, October 15 - As per the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat is being organized in Patiala on December 14 under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Madam Rupinderjit Chahal. For this purpose, benches of judicial courts will be constituted in Rajpura, Samana and Nabha along with Patiala.

For this purpose, benches of judicial courts will be constituted in Rajpura, Samana and Nabha along with Patiala.
In this regard, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Madam Mani Arora held a meeting with panel advocates and legal aid defense counselors. In the meeting, the cases to be presented in the National Lok Adalat were discussed. Panel advocates were asked to widely publicize the National Lok Adalat in villages through seminars, media and other means. So that the general public can be informed about it and awareness can be created. Its objective is to settle as many cases as possible and provide maximum benefit of National Lok Adalat to the people.
Madam Mani Arora said that during National Lok Adalat the cases settled include cheque bounce cases, money recovery cases, labour and employment dispute cases, payment of electricity, water bills and other bills (except non-compoundable cases) - maintenance cases, other criminal compoundable cases, cases relating to pending cases in courts and other civil disputes and tribunals such as criminal compoundable offences, cheque bounce cases, money recovery cases, MACT cases, labour and employment dispute cases, electricity, water bill and other bill payment cases (except non-compoundable cases), matrimonial disputes (except divorce), land acquisition cases (pending before civil courts/tribunals), pay and allowances and retirement benefits, revenue cases etc.
