India condemned issuing summons to India on Gurpatwant Pannu case

New Delhi, September 19- A US court has issued summons to the Indian government and its officials under the conspiracy to kill Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. This has been strongly condemned by the Government of India. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs termed it as an 'unreasonable and baseless allegation'.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that this does not change India's views against terrorism. Speaking to reporters before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US, the Foreign Secretary said that he wants to draw your attention to the person Pannu who runs an illegal organization and is banned under the UAPA. It should be mentioned that Pannu has American and Canadian citizenship and India has declared him a terrorist.
