Punjabi Month Events by Language Department Started on November 5 from Patiala

Patiala, October 30 - The language department has announced the events related to Punjabi month to be celebrated next month. Jaswant Singh Zafar, Director of Language Department, Punjab, gave information about the schedule of these events and said that on November 5, the opening ceremony of Punjabi Month will be held at the department's head office in Patiala.

During which the Minister of Higher Education and Languages. Harjot Singh Bains will be the chief guest. On this occasion, awards for the best literary books related to the previous Punjabi language 2022, 23 and 24 will also be presented and there will be cultural presentations. Goshtis, ruburu, seminars, poets' court, plays, folk dances and musical presentations will be conducted on the Punjabi language during the events held under Punjabi month in different districts of the state. 
Regarding the events to be held at different places in the state, Jaswant Singh Zafar said that on November 5, Natak Manchan at Fazilka and face-to-face literary panel at Sri Muktsar Sahib, seminar on Punjabi language and print media at Ropar on November 6, on November 7. Goshti and Kahani Darbar on the origin, development and future of Punjabi mini story at Barnala, drama staging at Mansa on November 8, discussion and presentation on traditional folk singing at Ferozepur on November 11, Punjabi literature during a state level function at Ludhiana on November 12. 
Creation and poetry singing competition, discussion and presentation on Punjabi language and Punjabi singing at Gurdaspur on November 13, discussion on the status of Punjabi language at Nawan Shahr on November 14, special lecture on Punjabi language at Ludhiana on November 17 and Kavi Darbar on November 18 Goshti on Punjabi language during the state level function at the head office of the department at Patiala on 19th November, Kavi Darbar at Pathankot on 18th November, Seminar on participation, prospects and challenges of women actors/directors in Punjabi drama at Hoshiarpur on 19th November, 20th November Goshti on Contribution of Sahat Sabhas to Punjabi Literature at Sangrur on 11th, State Level Poet Durbar at Department Head Office (Patiala) on 21st November, Children's Literature Quiz Competition (State Level) at Kapurthala on 22nd November, Punjabi at Faridkot on 22nd November Seminar on Possibilities and Challenges of Literary Singing, State level Natak Mela at Bathinda from 23rd to 27th November, Seminar on Punjabi Language and Current Electronic Media at Jalandhar on 26th November, Seminar and Workshop on Punjabi Natak at Amritsar on 27th November, 28th November Linguistic and Cultural Challenges of Punjabi Cinema at Mohali, Ghazal Workshop at Moga on November 29, Farewell function of Punjabi Month on November 30 at Head Office Patiala. 
During the valedictory function, awards for the best literary books in Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu will be presented and there will be special literary and cultural attractions.
