Chandigarh, June 6 - Haryana Government has brought five services of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department under the ambit of Right to Service Act, 2014 and has fixed timelines for these.

Chandigarh, June 6 - Haryana Government has brought five services of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department under the ambit of Right to Service Act, 2014 and has fixed timelines for these.
According to the notification issued by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi, now approval for entry or exit from State Highway or Scheduled Roads, permission for laying natural gas pipeline or other infrastructure under the guidelines of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and permission for laying communication infrastructure and related installations like optical fiber cable under right to use will be given within 40 days.
A timeline of 45 days has been fixed for empanelment of contractors for works and services. The concerned Superintendent Engineer has been appointed as the designated officer for these services, while the concerned Chief Engineer has been made the First Grievance Redressal Officer and the Principal Engineer has been made the Second Grievance Redressal Officer.
Additionally, now repair of small vehicles will be completed within 10 days. For this service, the concerned Junior Engineer has been appointed as the designated officer, while the concerned Sub-Divisional Engineer has been made the First Grievance Redressal Officer and the concerned Executive Engineer has been made the Second Grievance Redressal Officer.
