Nawanshahr- Shopkeepers who sell and use China string, which has become a threat to life, will not be spared at any cost. Expressing this, SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta said that China string proves to be very harmful for human life and animals and birds.
She said that it is not a bad thing for kite-flying enthusiasts to use thread string, but the use of banned China string, which is very dangerous for humans and animals and birds, is completely banned. She said that China string is much stronger than ordinary string, which is made of plastic (nylon). When the kite flies at a short distance from the ground after being cut or going out of control, then any animal, bird or human coming in its grip becomes a victim of an accident.
Because instead of breaking, this string tears the skin and penetrates inside. He said that many such incidents have come to light in Punjab and due to the use of China thread, many precious lives have been lost, while humans and animals have also been badly injured. Therefore, we all should avoid using China thread.
He said that if any shopkeeper sells it or any kite flyer uses it, then the police should be informed immediately so that appropriate legal action can be taken in time. He gave strict instructions to Tehsildar Nawanshahr, Karya Sadhak Officer, Nagar Council Nawanshahr/Rahon and BDPO Nawanshahr/other to thoroughly check the shops of kite sellers.
An appeal was made to the shopkeepers that no shopkeeper should sell China thread. He said that if any shopkeeper is found selling it or any kite flyer is found using it, then appropriate legal action will be taken against him.
