At the beginning of the Gosthi, Associate Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bahowal, Dr. Maninder Singh Bounce, enlightened about the purpose of Sesame Crop Exhibitions. He shed light in detail on the method of successful cultivation of advanced variety-Punjab Til No. 2, use of fertilizers, pests and diseases under the sesame crop exhibition. He said that the crop should be sown in the first fortnight of July. The attack of phyllodes (flower disease) is more on the early sowing (June month) crop. He also said that the plants with phyllodes should be uprooted and buried under the soil, so that the disease cannot progress. Harvesting should be done at the beginning of yellowing of the plants and opening of the pods to prevent crop failure.
