Players of Jagmohan Institute performed brilliantly in the 2nd Goju Ryu National Karate Championship.

Hoshiarpur- Ajnoha Punjab Goju Ryu Karate Federation under the aegis of All India Goju Ryu Karate Federation of India organized the 2nd "Goju Ryu National Karate Championship" at Diamond Resort, Sultanpur Lodhi. The three-day competition was organized by Sukhdev Singh Judge, Managing Director of Dr. Akal Group of Institutions and Chairman of Tournament Organizing Committee and internationally renowned Karate Coach Shihan Gurpreet Singh Sethi (Roji).

About 435 players from all over the country (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan) participated in this national level Karate competition. 8 players of Punjab branch of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Federation of India participated in this prestigious competition under the guidance of internationally renowned Karate coach and World Karate Federation referee Shihan Jagmohan Vij and performed brilliantly.
Naira Verma, Dhairya Kalia, Aarush Sharma, Aarti Kumari and Aditya Bakshi, who were part of the Punjab team, brought laurels to the state by winning gold medals in the Kumite competition. Aryansh Chaitanya Juneja, Kritesh Arora, Ryan Barpaga and Naira Verma won silver medals in various events.
Akshita Sharma won two bronze medals in individual Kata and Kumite competitions. Aryansh Chaitanya Juneja and Naira Verma, who are training at the Jagmohan Institute of Traditional Karate, performed brilliantly in their first Karate competition and attracted everyone's attention by defeating their opponents.
