Due to the concern of increasing environmental pollution in the world, Civil Surgeon Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana celebrated the World Environment Day by planting saplings at the office of the Civil Surgeon. On this occasion, he was accompanied by Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Kamlesh Kumari, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Anita Kataria, District Dental Health Officer Dr. Shaila Kanwar, District Epidemiologist Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur, District BCC Coordinator Amandeep Singh, Health Inspector Tarsem Singh, Pharmacy Officer Ajay Kumar, Krishna Kumar and Monica Rani were present.
Dr. Damana said on this occasion that we all know that nature is in danger due to increasing pollution. Nature provides everything that any living being needs to live. In such a case, if the nature is affected, then the public life will also be affected. Celebrating World Environment Day was started with the aim of protecting nature from pollution. Every year World Environment Day is celebrated with a theme. This year the day is being celebrated on the theme "Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Prevention". Special attention needs to be paid to the cleanliness of the environment to prevent diseases. He asked the youth to come forward in this and consider it their moral responsibility to plant plants around them and maintain cleanliness. Dr. Jagdeep Singh said that protecting the environment is necessary to save the earth as well as ourselves. There is a great need to be aware of environmental protection.

It is not necessary to plant trees only on the ground, you can also plant trees in nearby pots and keep the environment green along with the house. Health Inspector Tarsem Singh said that life is not possible without nature.
