Complete ban on sale, storage and use of China Door

Patiala, May 21 - Additional District Magistrate Patiala Madam Kanchan, in exercise of her powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, A complete ban on sale, storage and use of synthetic/plastic/harmful material door (China door) has been issued in district Patiala. These orders will continue till 20 November 2024.

Patiala, May 21 - Additional District Magistrate Patiala Madam Kanchan, in exercise of her powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973,  A complete ban on sale, storage and use of synthetic/plastic/harmful material door (China door) has been issued in district Patiala. These orders will continue till 20 November 2024. 
According to the orders, it has been brought to notice through the Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab, that China doors used in large quantities for flying kites/dolls are made of synthetic/plastic and are very strong, indestructible. And is unbreakable. By using this door, there are incidents of cutting hands/fingers, cutting throats and ears of bicycle and scooter/motorcycle drivers and in such a situation there is fear of accidents. Apart from this, the environment is also polluted with the stench due to the death of the birds trapped in the China Door and hanging on the trees. This synthetic/plastic door (China Door) is fatal to human life and birds when used for kite flying.
