In Karnal a teacher beat an eighthgrade student with an iron scale family files a police complaint
Karnal, November 20: A case has come to light in Karnal district where a private school teacher brutally beat an eighth-grade student with an iron scale. Enraged by the injuries on the victim's body, the family members got the child medically examined and filed a police complaint against the teacher.
14-year-old Kartik, who studies at a private school on Barsaat Road near Kalheri village in the Gharaunda area, reported that on Wednesday, math teacher Praveen Kumar targeted and beat him without any reason.
According to the student, another student in the class raised an alarm, but his name was mentioned. The teacher then repeatedly struck his hips with the iron scale, causing him to scream in pain. Kartik's neck and finger were also injured during the assault. Kartik's uncle, Mohit Kumar Tyagi, reported that when he returned home from the fields that evening, he saw Kartik limping. When they asked him why, the child tearfully recounted the incident.
When the family examined his hips, they found clear bruises. Mohit said they immediately took the child to the government hospital in Gharaunda for a medical examination, which confirmed the injuries. The family has now filed a police complaint and demanded strict action against the accused teacher.
They say that such violence against young children is not only wrong but also creates fear and insecurity in their minds. When contacted by phone to seek the school administration's response, they could not be reached. Meanwhile, Block Education Officer Ravindra Kumar stated that beating a child is completely wrong. If a complaint is received from the family, action will be taken against the school and teacher.
