Chandigarh, July 6: Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi inaugurated the Acer EV motorbike showroom in Sector-22 on Monday. The showroom has been launched with the aim of providing city residents with an affordable and eco-friendly transportation option amidst rising petrol and diesel prices.
City Senior Deputy Mayor Jasman Singh, Deputy Mayor Suman, local Councilor Damanpreet Singh, and nominated Councilor Umesh Ghai were present on the occasion, alongside founder Dr. Irfan Khan and Chandigarh in-charge Suresh Goyal. They stated that Acer EV motorbikes and scooters would offer people a reliable alternative to fuel-based transport, featuring modern technology, superior mileage, and low operating costs.
Dr. Irfan Khan mentioned that Acer EV motorbikes and scooters have been launched in India by the EBG Group. The group is active in the wellness industry as well as several other sectors and works to promote innovation and sustainable development across the country. He added that this new showroom, centrally located in Sector-22, would make electric mobility more accessible to the residents of Chandigarh.
Chandigarh in-charge Suresh Goyal noted that the demand for electric vehicles is steadily rising due to increasing fuel prices and the need for environmental conservation. In this context, the showroom will provide people with quality EV motorbikes, excellent after-sales services, and convenient options all under one roof. He expressed confidence that the city's residents would make the most of this eco-friendly initiative.
