Bihar Floods in 14 Districts 5000 Schools Closed

New Delhi, September 11:- Flood-like conditions are prevailing in 14 districts of Bihar, including Patna, Munger and Bhagalpur. More than 4 million people have been affected. More than 5,000 schools have been closed after being submerged in floodwaters. Rivers such as the Ganga, Kosi and Gandak are in full spate across the state. More than 500 cremation grounds built along the banks of these rivers have been submerged, causing difficulties in conducting last rites.
In Uttar Pradesh, rivers are overflowing due to continuous rainfall. The floods have affected 400,000 people in 26 districts. In Bareilly, an ancient temple was swept into the Ramganga River, while around 12 houses were submerged due to the rising waters of the Saryu River in Barabanki. Meanwhile, the spell of rain has currently stopped in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. There is no possibility of heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh for the next three days. Rain is expected to begin in Rajasthan from September 11; on Wednesday, temperatures remained above 35 degrees Celsius in 10 cities of the state.
