Attempt to Rob Union Bank in Broad Daylight Miscreants Foiled by Guards Courage

Jandiala Guru, September 11:- An attempt was made to rob Union Bank located near Ghah Mandi Chowk here today in broad daylight by five masked robbers, but the attempt was foiled due to the courage shown by the bank’s security guard. The guard acted promptly, forcing the robbers to flee the spot without looting anything, thereby averting a major incident at the bank.
Bank Manager Mukesh Kumar, while providing information in this regard, said that banking operations were underway as usual. At around 11:15 a.m., four masked youths entered the bank, sat in the customer queue and began filling out vouchers.
When the security guard asked them to remove the masks from their faces, another person entered the bank. He went behind the guard and sprayed something on his face. Despite being sprayed, the security guard did not lose courage and immediately picked up his rifle. As soon as the guard raised the rifle, all the robbers panicked and ran out of the bank. Thus, the bank was saved from suffering any kind of financial loss.
As soon as information about the incident was received, SHO Harpal Singh of Jandiala Guru Police Station immediately reached the spot along with a police team and began investigating the matter. Police are closely examining CCTV footage from cameras installed inside and around the bank.
SHO Harpal Singh said that efforts are being made to identify the accused on the basis of the CCTV footage and they will be arrested soon. He said that the bank suffered no loss and that a major incident was averted due to the security guard’s prompt courage and presence of mind. The SHO said that no accused would be spared.
