American Report Claims India Has 190 Nuclear Weapons

New Delhi, September 11:- India has 190 nuclear weapons. It has the capability to produce 225 more nuclear weapons in the coming years. This information has emerged in a new report by the US-based think tank, the Federation of American Scientists.
According to the report, India is also continuously strengthening its capability to launch nuclear attacks from the sea. India is developing a 'nuclear shield' at sea through a fleet of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines.
Of these 190 nuclear weapons, more than 160 are intended for existing missiles, while the remainder have been reserved for new missiles. The FAS estimates that the number of India's nuclear weapons could increase in the future. India is continuously modernizing its nuclear weapons stockpile; over the past few years, several new nuclear-capable weapons have been inducted into the armed forces, while other new weapons systems are currently under development.
The report estimates that by the beginning of 2026, India will have approximately 730 kilograms of weapons-grade plutonium, enough to produce up to 225 warheads. However, the report makes it clear that this is only an estimate; the actual number depends on the design of the warheads and the amount of material kept in reserve.
