Nawanshahr- Under the guidelines of Education Minister Punjab Harjot Singh Bains, under the leadership of District Education Department and under the supervision of Acting Principal Manjit Singh Jaswal, a parent teacher meeting was organized at Government Senior Secondary School Village Lakhpur Tehsil Phagwara.
Meanwhile, President of Bhagat Jawala Das Welfare Committee and former principal of the school (retd.) Jaswinder Singh Bangar were specially present. The teachers informed the parents about the performance of the students in a proper manner. The parents expressed satisfaction over the guidance of the children in education and other fields by the school staff. Executive in-charge of the school, Manjit Singh Jaswal, while addressing the parents, said that the Punjab government is providing many facilities to the students studying in government schools and the standard of education is also being raised.
He also inspired the parents to ensure hundred percent attendance of the students in the school. Jaswinder Singh Bangar, chairman of Bhagat Jawala Das Welfare Committee, while addressing the parents of the students, urged them to enroll their children in government schools and said that they must come to the school from time to time and take reports about the activities of the children. Apart from this, he encouraged the children to minimize the use of mobile phones, respect parents and teachers and take interest in sports. On this occasion, school library in-charge Bindiya Sandhu also installed books. About which the parents showed great enthusiasm and also got books of their choice to read. In the end, the school staff thanked all the parents and dignitaries. Apart from the school staff, the children's parents and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
