Nawanshehar: Today, on the 118th birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji, the entire senior team of the Aam Aadmi Party's district paid homage at Khatkar Kalan. Ever since the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in Punjab, the government has been running on the ideals of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji.
 For the first time in history, a 'Sau Chuk Samagam' (grand assembly) was held at Khatkar Kalan, where his ancestral home is located, and Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann Ji always visits there on the day of his martyrdom and birth anniversary to offer flowers of reverence to him. Under any circumstances, today on his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister reached Khatkar Kalan and paid floral tributes to his statue.
District President and Chairman of the District Planning Board, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Satnam Jalalpur, stated that on this occasion, Member of Parliament Sardar Malvinder Singh Kang, MLA Smt. Santosh Kataria, Lok Sabha In-charge Kuljeet Sarhal, Nawan Shehar Constituency In-charge Lalit Mohan Pathak, Sardar Satnam Singh Jalwah, Brigadier Raj Kumar, Chairman Gagan Agnihotri, Sethi Udhanowal, Balvir Karnaana, Harjot Lohtia, Robby Kang, Vaneet Jaadla, Pawanjit Sidhu, along with the entire district administration team, were present.
