Gurugram, June 28- Speaker of Haryana Assembly Shri Harvinder Kalyan said that the National Conference of Urban Local Bodies to be held for the first time on July 3 and 4 in Gurugram is not only important from the administrative point of view, but it is also an opportunity to convey the cultural dignity of Haryana and the traditional values of hospitality to the representatives from all over the country.
Gurugram, June 28- Speaker of Haryana Assembly Shri Harvinder Kalyan said that the National Conference of Urban Local Bodies to be held for the first time on July 3 and 4 in Gurugram is not only important from the administrative point of view, but it is also an opportunity to convey the cultural dignity of Haryana and the traditional values of hospitality to the representatives from all over the country.
While reviewing the preparations of the program in a high-level meeting held at the PWD Rest House in Gurugram on Saturday, he said that the spirit of “Atithi Devo Bhava” is our identity. This conference will be organized in accordance with the same spirit, due to which all the representatives will return from here with the experience of intimacy and inspiration.
More than 500 representatives from across the country will participate
The Assembly Speaker said that this national conference will be held on July 3 and 4 at the International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) located in Manesar, Gurugram. More than 500 representatives of urban administration and local bodies from all the states and union territories of the country will participate in it. He said that in the conference, there will be discussions on deciding the direction of urban development and best practices will be exchanged.
There will be a special glimpse of the service spirit of Haryana
Mr. Kalyan said that the land of Haryana is known for its traditional hospitality, simple food and human values. Our effort will be that all the arrangements should be of high standard during the event. He directed the officials to complete the preparations for the stay of the delegates, health services, traffic management, security arrangements and cultural programs in a timely and systematic manner. He said that this event will further strengthen the image of Gurugram on the national map. Through this, the strength and innovation of the urban systems of the state will also be displayed.
Haryanvi cultural evening organized on the first day
On the first day of the conference, a special Haryanvi cultural evening will be organized to welcome all the delegates. In this evening, a live glimpse of the folk art, traditions and cultural diversity of the state will be presented. Famous folk artists will give attractive performances of traditional dance and music in the program. During the cultural evening, guests will be introduced to the rich cultural heritage and folk traditions of Haryana through stage performances. He said that on this occasion, special feast consisting of traditional dishes of Haryana will also be arranged, so that the delegates from all over the country can enjoy the delicious food of the state.
Preparations of the district administration in the final stage
In the meeting, DC Ajay Kumar said that the preparations for the event in the district are in the final stage. Nodal officers have been appointed for the stay of the delegates, traffic management and security arrangements and publicity. The duty of senior officers has been fixed for various responsibilities. He said that all the departments are working together to present Gurugram as an ideal host city.
