Heartfelt tributes were paid to former Governor Late Satyapal Malik and Bhagat Phool Singh who ignited the spirit of education in the state.

Panchkula: On behalf of Sarva Samaj Panchkula and Jat Sabha Panchkula, a tribute meeting was organized in Jat Bhawan Sector 6 Panchkula in honor of former Governor and Union Minister Late Satyapal Malik and the great man Bhagat Phool Singh who ignited the spirit of education in the rural areas of Haryana in the 19th century.

Panchkula: On behalf of Sarva Samaj Panchkula and Jat Sabha Panchkula, a tribute meeting was organized in Jat Bhawan Sector 6 Panchkula in honor of former Governor and Union Minister Late Satyapal Malik and the great man Bhagat Phool Singh who ignited the spirit of education in the rural areas of Haryana in the 19th century.
Paying tribute to both the great souls, President of Jat Sabha Panchkula-Chandigarh and former DGP of Haryana Mahendra Singh Malik said that Bhagat Phool Singh and His Excellency former Governor Late Satyapal Malik were the gems of our country and community, we are proud of them.
He said that when the coming generations will get to read and hear about them, their chest will swell with pride. Former Executive Officer of Municipal Corporation and social worker OP Sihag, while paying tribute to both the great patriots, said that the society should learn something from such great men.
On this occasion, eminent scholar Dr. Harbas Singh, former Mayor of Municipal Corporation Panchkula Upendra Kaur Ahluwalia, President of Punjabi Sabha Panchkula and former President of Municipal Corporation Panchkula Ravinder Rawal, prominent leader of Brahmin community KC Bhardwaj also paid tribute to both the great personalities in their addresses and remembered their works done in the interest of society and country.
On this occasion, former minister K R Poonia's daughter-in-law Kiran, former IG Ishwar Singh Duhan, Poonia, Vice President of Jat Sabha Poonia, Secretary Gill, Promila Nain, Promila Sangwan, Surinder Chaddha, Azad Malik, Mahendra Sangwan, Rajesh Ahlawat, intellectuals of the former society, representatives of various social and political organizations and common citizens collectively prayed for the peace of the departed soul and also observed two minutes of silence.
