Chandigarh, August 14, 2025 - BJP National Chief Minister Tarun Chugh welcomed the historic decision of the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve four new semiconductor units in the country, out of which one unit has also been approved for Punjab.
Chugh said that this bold step reflects the Modi government's vision of making India a global semiconductor hub and is a major step towards self-reliance in high-end electronics manufacturing. He thanked the Prime Minister and the Cabinet for including Punjab in this historic industrial expansion.
Chugh said that this semiconductor unit to be set up by Continental Devices India Limited in Punjab will usher in a new era for the state's industry, provide employment to the youth and bring modern technology to the state. He said that this investment will strengthen Punjab's role in India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem and restore the industrial prestige lost in the last decade.
Chug said that Bhagwant Mann, instead of wasting time on false PR campaigns, Mann should focus on the real development of Punjab. 
The land pulling case has already proven that the Mann government is in complete disarray and turmoil. People have lost faith in this puppet government and now they do not want Chief Minister Mann, who follows Kejriwal's instructions, to continue in office.
