DTM, PGIMER, Chandigarh and TCT in collaboration with Bal Niketan, Sector 2 Panchkula organized a blood donation camp on 28th June 2025 at its campus.

Panchkula- The team of Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization Department of PGIMER received 8 organ donations in the camp under the supervision of Professor (Dr) Vipin Kaushal, Medical Superintendent PGIMER.

The camp was organized for those thalassemia patients who require lifelong blood transfusion after 15-20 days to maintain the optimum level of hemoglobin for survival.
Hon'ble 45 blood donors registered for blood donation and ..37 units of blood were collected from the honorable voluntary blood donors.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri Himmat Singh, Chairman, Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary of the Trust briefed them about the history of Thalassemia, TCT and sought their cooperation in eradicating Thalassemia in the state of Haryana by making mandatory orders to HPCL.
Shri Himmat Singh assured his full cooperation and support for the cause of Thalassemia. He motivated the blood donors and also presented gifts to them. TCT Executive Committee members Dr. Vinay Sood, Finance Secretary; Shri A P Singh, Vice President; Shri Amit Sood, Joint Secretary and Shri M L Gandhi, Executive Member of Thalassemic Charitable Trust also gave gifts and blessed the blood donors.
Father of Thalassemia patients Meenakshi and Harsha Makkar of this Trust also participated in the management of the camp. Shri Rajinder Kalra Member Secretary TCT and Professor (Dr) Rati Ram Sharma Head Department of Transfusion Medicine PGIMER thanked the staff of PGI Blood Bank, Roto Staff and TCT Staff. He also thanked Bal Niketan, Panchkula and all voluntary blood donors for participating in the camp.
