SAS Nagar, June 23- Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar celebrated National Gatka Day with great reverence and enthusiasm at Gurdwara Sahibwara, Phase 5. Young Sikhs displayed their Gatka skills with full enthusiasm during the event organized under the guidance of National President of the party S. Simranjit Singh Mann.
Party PAC member Jathedar Balkar Singh Bhullar, who was present to encourage the Gatka players, felicitated the Gatkas. He informed that this annual Gatka Day was started when the Hindu nation decided to celebrate Yoga Day to forcibly impose majoritarian ideology on the minorities.
Making the Sangat aware of the invaluable history of the Sikh community, he spoke about the rule of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and Maharaja Ranjit Singh. He said that we should read and follow the history of our brave warriors who made Khalsa Raj famous in the world with their valor.
In conclusion, Kharar constituency in-charge S. Lakhvir Singh Kotla thanked the Sangats and Group Managing Committee of Gurdwara Sahibwara, Phase 5.
