Hisar:- The joint team of Food Safety Department and Police Station Manager City Hansi Inspector Sadanand visited the city on Thursday and inspected the shops. During this, he instructed to keep the meat shops being opened without permission closed. He said that strict action will be taken against the meat shops being opened without permission.
The team took action against an unlicensed meat shop running in Tikona Park area under the Food Safety Act. During the inspection, it was found that the shop operator did not have any valid food trade license and hygiene standards were also being violated in the shop.
The Food Safety Officer issued a notice to the shop owner on the spot and ordered to close the shop with immediate effect. During this action, Police Station Manager City Hansi Inspector Sadanand was also present on the spot. Both the officers cooperated in maintaining law and order on the spot and also informed the local people about the rules.
The Food Safety Department has appealed to all food traders to do business only after obtaining a valid license and follow all the rules prescribed under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. Strict action will be taken in future also against those who ignore the rules.
