
Three ‘fake’ astrologers arrested for duping a girl of Rs 18 lakh.
Abohar, July 4 – Sri Ganganagar police have arrested three persons on the charge of duping a girl from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, of about Rs 18 lakh by promising her a good future and marriage on social media. Police station in-charge Subhash Chandra said that the three persons identified as Vasudev Shastri alias Manish Kumar, Ankit alias Rudra Sharma of Ramgarh Shekhawati and Pramod Bhargava alias Bittu of Rajgarh have been arrested.

He said that the main leader of this gang is Naresh alias Narendra Acharya, who is the father of Ankit alias Rudra Sharma. According to the information received, Acharya used to advertise online that people can solve their problems and fulfill their desires through puja and tantra education. Lakhs of rupees were duped on this pretext.
Got scammed after seeing an Instagram advertisement
Garima Joshi (24), an MBA working in a Chennai-based company, has accused Vasudev Shastri, Gautam Shastri, Narendra Acharya and Manish of cheating her of about Rs 18 lakh in her complaint.
She visited Sri Ganganagar in October 2024 during which she saw Vasudev Shastri's reel and talked about her marriage and career on mobile. She claimed that she had received siddhis for such works and asked him to take measures by worshipping her.
Joshi said, "Shastri took Rs 60,000 from her between October 6 and 8, 2024. After this, he started threatening me that if I left the worship midway, then someone in the family is sure to die. He also made him talk to Gautam Shastri, Narendra Acharya and Manish on the phone and said that they would sit in different directions and perform puja for him.
