Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak supported India’s attack on terror infrastructure and said that no country should accept terrorist attacks against it from another country.
In a post on X, Sunak said, “No country should accept terrorist attacks against it from another country’s soil. India’s move to attack terrorist infrastructure is justified. There can be no impunity for terrorists.”
UK MP Priti Patel supported the attack, saying that India has the right to take reasonable steps to defend itself and destroy the despicable terrorist infrastructure that threatens it. UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has urged India and Pakistan to “show restraint and engage in direct dialogue to find a swift, diplomatic way forward.” He reiterated his condemnation of the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22.
“The current tensions between India and Pakistan are a matter of serious concern. The UK has close and unique ties with both countries. I have made it clear to my counterparts in India and Pakistan that if this escalates, no one wins.”
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot justified India’s desire to protect itself from terrorism. Referring to his efforts to support the UN Security Council statement condemning the attack, he said, “I also supported the UN Security Council’s statement condemning this terrorist attack last week in New York.”
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, said that Israel supports India’s right to self-defense and said that terrorists should know that there is no place to hide from their heinous crimes against innocents.
Dutch MP Geert Wilders expressed his support with his tweet that Kashmir is 100 percent India’s. He also used the hashtag #PakistanBehindPahalgam in his post on X.
US Congressman Mr. Thanedar said that terrorism cannot be tolerated and cannot go unpunished and India has the right to defend its people and expressed strong solidarity with India’s efforts to dismantle terrorist networks.
