Patiala: New Patiala Welfare Club has been struggling for a long time to get rid of adulteration in all types of food and beverages. For which a demonstration was held against adulterators and the health department under the leadership of President Arvinder Kumar Kaka.
On this occasion, President Arvinder Kumar Kaka expressed deep concern over the current collection system and said that the health department also conducts raids and investigations for show, then collects samples for the sake of formality, but later a clean chit is given.
Many officers and employees of the health department are no less guilty than the adulterators, due to whose greed the business of adulteration is flourishing in Punjab. But the adulterators are pushing people to death for their own benefit. Whereas selling adulterated food items is a crime equivalent to taking people's lives, for which many officers and employees of the health department are completely responsible.
He told many officers and employees involved in corruption that expensive vehicles can be bought with bribe money, but not anyone's life. If adulterators continue to play with people's health like this, then there is no need for a health department.
He said that adulterators are playing with people's lives by putting up photos of religious leaders in their shops and making fun of God's name. Which is a blatant violation of humanity. Selfish adulterators are in a race to earn more money at a low price. They have no fear of anyone. While the government needs to take major action against adulterators, but the Mann government, instead of doing anything, is just watching the spectacle as a spectator.
The business of adulteration cannot run without the connivance of the health department. President Arvinder Kumar Kaka demanded from the government that the property made in the business of adulteration should be immediately confiscated and the adulterators should be given strict punishment. On this occasion Hukam Singh, Man Singh, Karam Singh, Jagtar Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Naresh Kumar, Satpal Singh, Pradeep Singh, Mangat Ram, Jung Khan, B.M. Gautam, Narinder Pal Singh etc. were present.
