District administration has intensified the campaign for the eradication of drugs and rehabilitation of victims - Ashika Jain.

He was addressing the review meeting of this campaign being run by various departments at the District Administrative Complex today. He appealed to all the officers to work together with dedication to eradicate the social evil of drugs from the root. The Deputy Commissioner informed that under this campaign, 527 contact meetings have been held in the district so far and 970 Village Defense Committees have been formed.
He said that these committees can play an important role in the anti-drug efforts at the village level. Ashika Jain directed all SDMs to hold meetings with the concerned DSPs in their respective areas and further accelerate the pace of the campaign. She said that the process of drug de-addiction through rehabilitation centers by the district administration is also going on rapidly. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to all the citizens to cooperate with the administration against this social evil and in building a drug-free society. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nicas Kumar, SP Major Singh, SDM Garhshankar Harbans Singh, SDM Mukerian Kanwaljit Singh, SDM Hoshiarpur Sanjeev Kumar, SDM Tanda Parampreet Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar and many other officials were present.
