People should be alert in view of the rising temperature in the weather, take precautions to avoid heatstroke - Deputy Commissioner

Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain appealed to the residents of the district to be fully alert by taking necessary precautions to avoid heatstroke in view of the rising heat and temperature in the weather.

The Deputy Commissioner said that along with keeping the necessary information about the weather, special care should be taken to avoid heatstroke while traveling. He said that the concerned officials have been instructed to spread awareness among the people to avoid heatstroke. 
He said that as per the advisory issued by the Health Department, newborns and small children, pregnant women, elderly, obese people, heart patients etc. should take special care to avoid heatstroke. 
He said that preference should be given to wearing light clothes during the very hot weather. He said that animals and pets should also be taken care of.
