Sikh National Collegiate School's Bhangra team secured second position in district level inter-school competitions

Nawanshahr/Banga- Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra, in collaboration with Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder, Principal of Sikh National College Banga, organised the 17th Satyug Kala Evam Sangeet Utsav, in which inter-school art and music dance competition was organised. Participating in the group dance (traditional) category of these competitions, the Bhangra team of Sikh National Collegiate School secured second position.

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder said that this team was formed for the first time to create enthusiasm for folk dances among the students of the school and performed on stage in a completely traditional manner, in which they played dhol, boli and folk instruments like tubi and chimte etc. Apart from this, the Rangoli team of the school also secured second position.
In this program, prominent political leader Satvir Singh Palli Jhikki (Former Chairman, District Planning Board) was also present as the chief guest to bless the students and Jarnail Singh Palli Jhikki (Secretary, Local Management Committee) was also present with him. School Incharge Mr. Jatinder Mohan also congratulated these student artists and motivated them to work harder to improve their art.
The Bhangra team was trained by Bhangra coach Ustad Pawan Kumar ji and he was accompanied by Ustad Sodhi Ram ji. Prof. Gurpreet Singh, Prof. Mohan Singh, Prof. Ruby etc. were present on this occasion.
