Faculty Development Program on Innovation and Entrepreneurship begins at Triple IT Una.

Una, April 21- A 5-day Faculty Development Program on the subject of Innovation and Entrepreneurship began on Monday at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Triple IT) Una. This program is being organized in collaboration with the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE. Triple IT Una has been selected among the top 50 institutions out of more than 1700 applications received from across the country and it is the only institution selected from Himachal Pradesh, which is a matter of pride for both the institute and the state.

Dr. Rishi Mohan Bhatnagar, Managing Director and Global CTO of AA2IT India Private Limited, Prof. Prerna Gaur (Professor and Head, Instrumentation and Control Department) of NSUT Delhi, and Prof. Manish Gaur, Director, Triple IT Una, were specially present at the inaugural ceremony of this program.
Prof. Manish Gaur, Director, Triple IT Una, said that this Faculty Development Program is not just a training program, but a movement towards developing creativity, critical thinking and problem solving mindset. Our aim is to enable teachers to become drivers of innovation and catalysts of change in their institutions. He thanked the Ministry of Education and AICTE and congratulated the program coordinators for organising an excellent event.
The Faculty Development Programme is being coordinated by Divyansh Thakur, School of Computing. It has 45 faculty participants selected from various regions of Himachal Pradesh such as Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, and Manali, which reflects the commitment towards inclusive academic development.
The participants will participate in special sessions, workshops and interactive activities by eminent speakers from IITs, IIMs and Triple ITs and successful startup founders in the coming days. The program covers important topics such as design thinking, culture of innovation, startup ecosystem, incubation strategies and implementation of NEP 2020 in the context of innovation.
Dr. Rishi Mohan Bhatnagar shared his views on digital transformation, startup culture and future technologies. Prof. Prerna Gaur inspired the participants with her rich academic experience and commitment to encourage innovation.
