Chandigarh, January 30:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini appealed to the youth to make service spirit a part of their lives with knowledge, humility, success, sensitivity and power. This is the message and guidance of our great Gurus.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini was addressing the 61st Foundation Day celebrations of Shri Guru Gobind Singh College in Chandigarh on Friday. He announced to give Rs 11 lakh to the Sikh Education Society.
The Chief Minister, while praising the Sikh Education Society, said that he was very proud to be present at the function. This function is dedicated to the birth anniversary of the tenth Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the symbol of religion, bravery and sacrifice.
He said that now when we remember Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the image of a brave warrior emerges before our eyes who dedicated his entire life to humanity, religion and justice. He taught us that heads can be cut off, but not principles, bodies can be destroyed, but not self-respect.
The Chief Minister said that this foundation day of the college is a celebration of that great tradition, ideology and consciousness, which has kept the soul of India awake for centuries, which was founded in the name of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the year of its foundation in 1966. He said that just as Guru Ji gave the message of sacrifice, courage and humanity, in the same way the aim of this college is to develop the great qualities of Guru Ji in the students and this is the belief of this college.
The Chief Minister said that teachers also play an important role in nation building, who not only teach courses but also show the path of true life. Apart from this, teachers, while carrying out the Guru tradition, also work to make children cultured along with knowledge.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Shri Guru Gobind Singh College is not only a medium of imparting education and knowledge, but is also playing an important role in character building, nation building and human development. This college has given the country such talented individuals who have earned a big name in various fields. He said that Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, by establishing the Khalsa Panth, gave the message of standing against injustice as the true religion and not living out of fear, living with religion, not with selfishness, living with service.
The Chief Minister said that the foundation of this institution has been laid on values ??like sacrifice, sacrifice, courage and truth. The Haryana government is also committed to providing quality education, moral values ??and equal employment opportunities to every youth of the state. For this, new opportunities are being created for the youth in every field like education, skill development, startups, sports and employment in Haryana. He said that the Haryana State Research Fund has been formed for the youth for higher education, research and development, in which more than 360 project proposals have been received so far.
The Chief Minister said that under the National Education Policy 2020, a roadmap has been prepared to adapt the education system to the 21st century. Work has been done to open a government model Sanskriti College in every district and a college within a radius of 20 km.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is moving forward towards making the country a developed nation by the year 2047, then the teachings of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji become even more relevant. He said that the Haryana government is making many efforts to spread the teachings and principles of the Gurus to the masses.
At the 350th state-level martyrdom celebrations of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji organized in Kurukshetra, the Prime Minister released coins, postage stamps and coffee table books dedicated to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Apart from this, the Asandh College has been named after Baba Fateh Singh Ji and the state highway from Nada Sahib to Kapalmochan has also been named after Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Marg.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the government is committed to providing employable, characterful and morally sound education to the future generations. He said that one lakh 80 thousand youth have been given government jobs on the basis of merit without any expenditure slip in the state.
The Chief Minister was welcomed and felicitated by the society officials on his arrival at the program. Sikh Education Society Chairman Sardar Gurdev Singh Brar, Deputy Chairman Sardar Kulbir Singh, Secretary Colonel Jasmer Singh Bala, Principal Jaswinder Singh along with teachers and youth were present on the occasion.
