Chandigarh:- The Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO), PGIMER, Chandigarh, led an impactful Organ Donation Awareness Drive at the State-Level Haryana Youth Festival 2025, held at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula. Organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, the three-day festival saw hundreds of young attendees engaging with ROTTO’s interactive stall.
Haryana’s Development & Panchayat Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar inaugurated the festival and visited the stall, while Shri Gaurav Gautam, Minister for Sports, Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, along with senior officials, praised the initiative and encouraged youth participation.
The ROTTO team conducted sessions explaining brain death, dispelling myths, and highlighting how one donor can save multiple lives. A total of 234 young visitors pledged support, showcasing growing awareness and compassion.
Shri Sanjeev Sharma, Additional Director, Skill Development, stressed youth as “powerful ambassadors of organ donation,” while Prof. Vipin Koushal, Nodal Officer, ROTTO–PGIMER, thanked the organisers for amplifying their outreach.
