Hoshiarpur, September 06, 2026: The growing inclination of youth toward politics is a positive sign for the nation's democracy, but providing them with the right direction and political mindset is equally essential. Youth should aim to become responsible leaders serving society and the nation rather than being used as political pawns. These views were expressed by renowned novelist and President's Award winner Dr. Dharampal Sahil during the release ceremony of author Sanjeev Talwar's book 'Gen-Z: Desh Ka Bhavishya Banam Siyasat Ke Mohre'.
Dr. Dharampal Sahil stated that today's youth are often drawn to politics seeking fame, making it crucial to instill in them an understanding of their duties toward democracy and society. Dr. Ajay Bagga remarked that youth must first fulfill their familial responsibilities while stepping forward in social and national spheres.
Sharing insights about the book, Sanjeev Talwar noted that he presented his views based on personal political experiences regarding youth roles, challenges, and necessary efforts to establish high political standards. Master Kulwinder Janda, President of the Sanskriti Sanrakshan Society, extended a vote of thanks and emphasized that opportunistic politicians often misuse youth potential for personal gains. He urged young people to adopt clean political thinking. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries from various professions.
