Una, August 4: A one-day workshop on the topics of 'Market Success and Sustainability,' 'Market Finance,' and the 'GeM Portal' was organized today at the DRDA Conference Hall, Una, by the Department of Industries, Una, under the RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) program. Approximately 100 women from the Haroli development block participated in the workshop.
The objective of the program was to raise awareness among women entrepreneurs and MSME units about new market opportunities, financial resources, and the digital government procurement system, enabling them to expand their businesses and become economically empowered and self-reliant.
Dakeshwar Thakur, Industrial Promotion Officer from the District Industries Centre (DIC), Una, attended the workshop as the chief guest.
Dakeshwar Thakur stated that workshops organized under the RAMP program serve as an effective medium to connect women entrepreneurs and MSME units with modern markets, digital platforms, and government schemes. He urged the participants to avail themselves of the benefits of government schemes to become self-reliant and expand their enterprises.
In the first session of the workshop, Meenakshi Thakur provided detailed information on 'Market Success and Sustainability' and 'Market Finance.' She briefed the participants on developing businesses in line with changing market demands, product branding, quality improvement, maintaining customer trust, and the financial assistance available through various financial institutions and government schemes.
In the second session, Puneet Bakshi shared detailed information about the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal. He explained the registration process, product listing, participation in government tenders, online sales opportunities, and the timely payment system in detail. He encouraged the participants to connect with the government procurement system and derive maximum benefit from the GeM portal.
