Karnal, December 27:- Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development works worth Rs 4 crore 4 lakh 75 thousand in the villages of Alipur Khalsa, Faridpur, and Kalhedi in Gharaunda constituency. These development works will provide better facilities to the local people and ensure all-round development of the area.
Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan laid the foundation stone for the Parshuram Bhavan, to be built at a cost of Rs 65 lakh, and an additional hall in the community hall, also costing Rs 65 lakh, in Alipur Khalsa village. He then laid the foundation stone for a community hall to be built at a cost of Rs 80 lakh in Faridpur village, and inaugurated a library built at a cost of Rs 35 lakh and the beautification work of a pond costing Rs 57 lakh.
He also inaugurated a library built at a cost of Rs 11.73 lakh, a Valmiki Chaupal built at a cost of Rs 10.70 lakh, and the renovation of a road Chaupal at a cost of Rs 5 lakh in Kalhedi village, and laid the foundation stone for a community hall to be built at a cost of Rs 65 lakh.
In his address, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that a women's hall will be constructed in every village of the Gharaunda assembly constituency. The construction of these halls will provide rural women with a safe and shared space for bhajans, kirtans, satsangs, and other social activities. During this time, he listened to the problems of the villagers and assured them of their quick resolution.
The Assembly Speaker said that all the legitimate demands of Alipur Khalsa village will be fulfilled. The drainage system and the problem of chemical-laden water from factories in the village will be resolved soon. A special joint project will be implemented by the government to ensure that the drainage of the entire area is managed at a single location, providing a permanent solution to the problem.
Development works will be accelerated at every level for the prosperity of the village and its families. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly said that he will fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him with utmost sincerity, given the love and blessings he has received from everyone. The all-round development of the region is his priority, and all pending projects will be completed in a time-bound manner.
**Children are our true asset**
Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that the construction of libraries in rural areas is a major step towards providing a positive learning environment for children. He said that children are our greatest asset, and making them capable and competent is the true progress of society.
The libraries will attract children towards studies. He said that these libraries will not only have buildings but also all the modern equipment and resources needed by the children. He appealed to the parents to make their children capable and teach them to distinguish between right and wrong.
**Respect for hard work, a government without corruption**
Mr. Kalyan said that in today's government, only those children who study and work hard are getting their due. Jobs are being given purely on the basis of merit. He said that no work is big or small, and it is everyone's responsibility to inspire children to follow the path of hard work. There is no alternative to hard work. He appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs. He urged them to contribute to building a healthy society by abandoning the evil of drug addiction.
**Call to youth for cleanliness**
To improve the social system of the villages, he suggested a unique initiative. He said that every village should have groups of young people who dedicate at least one hour a week to the cleanliness of the village. He said that the village is our family, and keeping the environment of our family clean is our moral duty.
**Unwavering commitment to the development of Gharaunda**
Mr. Kalyan said that as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, he has to visit various legislative assemblies and programs across the country, but despite this, the people of Gharaunda and its development remain his priority. He ensures that he dedicates sufficient time to his constituency, and all legitimate demands related to the villages will be fulfilled at all costs.
