Kharar, 6 March:- Today in Kharar, a Women Entrepreneurs Fair was organised under the campaign “Apna Karobar, Apni Pehchaan” by the Punjab State Rural Livelihood Mission, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab. On this occasion, MLA of Kharar constituency Anmol Gagan Mann attended the event and honoured women engaged in different fields of business by presenting them certificates and mementos.
On this occasion, MLA Anmol Gagan Mann said that women are like diamonds and are very strong. She said that turning a home into heaven or hell also lies in the hands of a woman because a woman is the strong foundation of a family. She said that today’s women are proving their capability in every field and are playing an important role in the development of society.
She further said that the Punjab Government is running several schemes to make women self-reliant and to promote their businesses, which is giving women an opportunity to stand on their own feet.
During the event, women associated with various Self Help Groups were honoured with certificates under “Punjab Government Women Entrepreneur Honour – 2026”. A large number of women and local residents were present at the programme.
The stage was conducted by Amanpreet Kaur (Sarpanch Nangal Faizgarh) and Jaspreet Kaur (Sarpanch Jhingra Kalan).
On this occasion, Kashmir Kaur (District President Women Wing), Swarnjeet Kaur (Zone Incharge), Harpreet Kaur (Constituency Coordinator), Anju Chander (President Nagar Council Kharar), Rupinder Kaur (B.D.P.O Office), Sarabjit Kaur, Vandana Bhardwaj, Harpal Kaur (Barodi), Harminder Kaur (Majra), Daljit Kaur (Khijrabad), Mamta Rani, Sukhwinder Singh Bittu (Chairman Market Committee Kharar), Vikas Mohan (P.A.), Raghvir Singh Modi (Block Samiti Member), Baljit Singh (Media Incharge) and many other leaders were present.
