Panipat: A woman, who had been suffering for two years from persistent lower back pain and tingling sensations in her legs—symptoms associated with sciatica—has received a new lease on life following an endoscopic spine surgery performed at Park Hospital, Panipat.
The pain had become so severe that performing even routine daily tasks had become extremely difficult for her. Despite seeking treatment at multiple locations and taking various medications, the woman was unable to find any lasting relief.
Through comprehensive examinations and advanced diagnostic techniques at Park Hospital, Panipat, it was revealed that the woman was suffering from a severe L4-L5 slipped disc (herniated disc) issue.
Considering the patient's condition, Neurosurgeon Dr. Sameep H. Koshti recommended an advanced endoscopic spine surgery. This is a minimally invasive procedure—requiring only a small incision—in which the underlying problem is resolved using state-of-the-art endoscopic instruments, without the need for a large surgical incision.
During the surgery, only a tiny incision was made, resulting in minimal pain and very little blood loss for the patient. The entire procedure was executed with the utmost care and expertise. Shortly after the operation, Pooja began to experience relief from her pain.
Following the surgery, the woman's condition improved rapidly, and within just a few days, she was able to return to her normal life. She can now walk and move around without pain, and she carries out her daily routine with the same ease as before.
Dr. Sameep H. Koshti stated, "Endoscopic spine surgery is one of the most modern and safe techniques available today. It results in less pain for the patient, requires a shorter hospital stay, and facilitates a much faster recovery. This technique is proving to be particularly effective in treating conditions such as slipped discs and nerve compression."
He further advised that if lower back pain persists for an extended period, or if one experiences tingling sensations or weakness in the legs, these symptoms should not be ignored; instead, one should immediately consult a specialist.
