Nawanshahr:- An anti-drug awareness camp was organized under "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" by Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts, Nawanshahr, at Red Rose Public School, Pandora Mohalla, Nawanshahr. This camp was presided over by Mrs. Reema Arora (Director) and Shri Rajiv Arora.
On this occasion, Chaman Singh (Project Director), while giving information to the children about Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Yudh Nashian Virudh campaign, said that today deaths are increasing due to youth taking excessive quantity of drugs.
Therefore, Red Cross does the work of social welfare to bring drug-addicted youth out of the quagmire of drugs. Where thousands of youth have already become drug-free after getting admitted in Red Cross centres. Sharing information, he said that the youth who become addicted to drugs, they do not enjoy youth, because drugs swallow their youth. In the end, everyone took a pledge to stay away from drugs under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
On this occasion, Shri Parvesh Kumar (Staff Member) shared information about the works and activities of the centre. He informed that if any person is addicted to drugs, then he can get admitted at the centre for one month as per his wish and get his treatment done completely free of cost. Where the affected person is kept like a family environment and given good treatment.
On this occasion, Mrs. Usha Rani (Principal) gave her views to stay away from drugs and thanked the Red Cross team. On this occasion, school staff members Gurpreet Kaur, Harjinder Kaur, Prabhjot Kaur, Surinder Kaur, Neeraj, Deepika, Gurpreet Kaur, Harjinder, Nirmala and students were present.
