Bhopal:- Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is facing threats from Pakistan's intelligence agency, Inter-Services Intelligence. The Union Home Ministry received inputs indicating an attack on him. Following this, security was further increased at Shivraj's residences in Bhopal and Delhi late on Friday night.
Police put up additional barricades around B-8 residence at 74 Bungalow in Bhopal. Security was also increased at his official residence in Delhi.
The Home Ministry had issued a letter requesting increased security for Shivraj Singh Chouhan, stating that ISI is collecting information about the Union Agriculture Minister. After the advice of the central security agency, the security arrangements of the Union Minister were reviewed and further tightened.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan is already enjoying Z-plus security. Despite this, after receiving fresh inputs from the Home Ministry, the Centre directed the Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), Delhi Police Special Commissioner of Police (Security) and Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary to strengthen security.
