Karnal, November 25: Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Mr. Manohar Lal, visited the villages of Moonak and Salwan in Karnal district on Tuesday and reviewed the progress of various ongoing development projects. The villagers warmly welcomed the Union Minister.
During this visit, the Union Minister obtained detailed information from the officials about the works and issued strict instructions to ensure quality and timeliness. He urged that these works be completed at a faster pace in the future so that the villagers can benefit quickly. Sarpanches of Gram Panchayats were also given necessary guidelines for the smooth operation and monitoring of development works.
Union Minister Manohar Lal held a meeting with the Panchayat Samiti at the Ambedkar Bhawan in Moonak village to discuss the village's development works and inquire about the problems faced in the development work. He first inquired about the library in the village. During this visit, the Sarpanch requested a computer for the library.
The Union Minister inquired about the village's drainage system and the beautification of the pond. He approved the work of paving approximately 3 kilometers of unpaved drains by the Irrigation Department. During this visit, the Union Minister also visited the stadium in Moonak. It is noteworthy that Union Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has adopted nine large villages in Karnal district.
This is his dream project to carry out comprehensive development work in these villages according to the needs, facilities, and demands of the local people. Basic amenities such as roads, drinking water, streetlights, community halls, and playgrounds are being rapidly developed in these villages.
