Hoshiarpur:- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today formally inaugurated the construction work of a new tubewell to be constructed at a cost of Rs 32 lakh in Paramount Colony of Ward No. 29. On this occasion, he said that due to the deterioration of the bore of the tubewell already installed in the area, the local residents were facing serious problems in drinking water supply.
Keeping in mind this problem of the people, this work has been approved in an emergency situation, so that no citizen has to face water shortage. MLA Jimpa said that clean and regular drinking water supply is one of the priorities of the government. He clarified that continuous development works are being carried out to strengthen the infrastructure in various wards of the city.
The construction of this tubewell will directly benefit hundreds of families of Paramount Colony and surrounding areas and will provide a permanent solution to the long-standing water problem. He directed the officials to complete the construction work within the stipulated time frame and no compromise should be made on quality. The MLA said that transparency and timeliness will be ensured in the works related to public utilities.
