Haroli/Una, June 6 (Rajveer Chopra): The three-day training program organized at the Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal office for the successful conduct of the first phase of Census 2026—the House Listing Operation (HLO)—concluded successfully on Saturday. During the program, enumerators and supervisors from the Haroli Assembly constituency were provided with detailed information regarding various aspects of the census.
Lalit Mohan stated that the Government of India is training teachers and appointed personnel at various locations to ensure the successful conduct of Census 2026. A total of three batches have been formed for the Haroli Assembly constituency, comprising 116 enumerators and supervisors. Training for two of these batches was completed on Saturday, while the training for the third batch will be held in Haroli from June 8 to June 10.
He explained that on the first day of training, participants were taught the process of determining area boundaries. On the second day, detailed information was provided regarding the 34 questions to be asked during the census, while on the final day, participants received hands-on training in operating the HLO app, data entry, and practical exercises.
Field Trainer Pritpal Singh and Supervisors Yashpal and Arun Pathak guided the participants during the training program. A total of 32 participants attended the camp and underwent the training.
Charge Census Officer and Secretary of Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal, Vijay Singh; Charge Census Clerk Akashdeep Dhiman; Technical Assistant Vishal Singh Kang; and Sanitation Supervisors Amandeep Singh and Radha Rani, along with other officials and staff, were present on the occasion. The officials expressed hope that the trained enumerators and supervisors would play a pivotal role in successfully executing the first phase of Census 2026.
