Mahilpur, June 4- Talwinder Heer Nangal, a prominent social worker and farmer leader of the region, while talking to the players today, said that India is a multinational, multi-ethnic, multilingual, multi-regional, multi-religious country. Our experts made the Indian Constitution secular and gave all the citizens of the country the right to live with freedom and equality.
But it has been the misfortune of the people of the country that till date all the foreign and native rulers sitting on the throne of power have tried their best to destroy the unity and integrity of the country by dividing the country in the name of castes, religions and regions and by fighting among themselves and causing bloodshed. Many innocent, responsible, patriotic citizens were killed by the rulers by defaming them without any reason and then by doing politics on the dead bodies, they occupied the throne. The wounds given to humanity by the politicians in 1947 and 1984 are still fresh.
The process of creating such a situation is still going on in full force today. Many innocent citizens are being killed every day by the arrogant rulers intoxicated with power. Writers and responsible citizens who raise slogans in their favor and demand justice are being selectively made victims of government terror and are being stuffed into lifelong prisons. The protectors of law are dancing to the tunes of the rulers out of compulsion. There is no appeal, argument, justice anywhere.
During these days, the fifth Guru, the crown of martyrs, the pillar of humility, was martyred by the cruel ruler of that time by giving him immense and unspeakable pain, because he had emphasized on the principle of equality by editing Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Jabar Jahangir did not even remember that the fifth Guru, the protector of unity and humanity, had got the foundation of the Golden Temple laid by the Muslim fakir Sai Mian Mir and then got four doors installed, through which people of all religions got entry forever.
The Gurus based their ideology on the unity and solidarity of the entire humanity. Sitting on the scorching heat, with a burning head and a firm mind, he sacrificed his life for the good of humanity. Then the ninth Patshah of India Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji sacrificed his life for human rights and people of other religions and gave the power to the helpless and downtrodden people to live their lives fearlessly.
But even centuries later, the rulers of the time never tried to understand the principle of unity and equality given by the ten Gurus. The tyrannical rulers tried to prove themselves powerful by repeatedly attacking the Golden Temple, but they could not destroy the principle of "All are equal, no one is out of the country" and kept uprooting its roots with their own hands.
Even today, to get the country out of the crisis created by the rulers themselves, the justice-loving hardworking people of the entire country have to fight together against the terrorism and oppression of the government and save the unity and integrity of the country. We have to keep striving continuously for the welfare of humanity by following the path shown by our Gurus and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.
The unity and integrity of the country will be protected only by following the path shown by the Gurus and the martyrs --- Talwinder Heer.
