Karnal, February 15: At the grand Hindu conference held in Sector 7 of Karnal, Gita scholar Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gyananand Ji called upon the countrymen to imbibe patriotism and national pride. He said that today India is rapidly moving towards becoming a world leader, and the influence of Sanatan culture is visible throughout the world. At such a time, we should be proud of our ancient traditions and develop self-awareness.
Swami Gyananand Ji said that the day is not far when Vyas Peethas will be established in the Indian Parliament and Legislative Assemblies, and politics will be guided by religion. He said that good days have certainly come, but we must not sleep but work with greater awareness for the nation. The keynote speaker at the event was Vikrant Ji, the provincial co-propaganda chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
He highlighted the Sangh's glorious journey of a hundred years, saying that the Sangh's volunteer lives not for himself but for society. Their dream is to dedicate themselves to the nation's glory. He said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has never compromised on its core principles, even in difficult circumstances. Vikrant ji said that it is a matter of pride for the Sangh that today one of its pracharaks holds the highest position in the country.
He explained that in its centenary year, the Sangh is moving forward with five objectives and five resolutions. Furthermore, Haryana and Karnal have played a significant role in the Sangh's establishment and expansion. Today, the Sangh has become the world's largest social organization and this year is working to unite society by organizing Hindu conferences at the village, mandal, and township levels.
Shikha Behan from Brahma Kumari Ishwari Prajapita University, Mahant Naveen Anand from Anand Kuthiya, and Mrs. Damayanti Sharma from Divya Yoga Ashram were specially present on this occasion.
Organising committee head Vimal Bansal, Sandeep Taneja, Vijay Girdhar, martyr Vinay Narwal's grandfather Hawa Singh, Madan Lal Khurana, Meenu Chawla, Satish Chawla from Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Azad Singh from Haryana Safai Karamchari Aayog, Satish Gupta, Naveen Goyal, Surendra Goyal from Vishwa Hindu Parishad, BJP leader Manav Puri, Raman Jain and Neetu Jain from Jain community were also prominently present.
The programme began with a Kalash Yatra, in which 51 women took out a procession to the venue carrying Kalash on their heads. After this, lamps were lit after offering flowers to the pictures of Bharat Mata and Bhagwa Ram. Children dressed as Gods gave a beautiful performance, which filled the entire atmosphere with devotion and patriotism.
